Help The Grow Box Grow — Support Our Transition to a CIC!
Hello lovely community,
We have some exciting news — The Grow Box Redruth is growing! We are determined to keep a Greengrocers and Butchers in the high street so we’re officially becoming a Community Interest Company (CIC) — a not-for-profit business dedicated to making a real difference right here in Redruth.
This change will allow us to expand the ways we support our local community, from hosting more social events in our cafe, supporting local producers, community days in our kitchen garden to offering work experience opportunities, and creating an even more welcoming space for everyone.
But — change always comes with a few costs.
Setting up a CIC properly means legal fees, admin costs, and a few behind-the-scenes expenses that quickly add up. That’s where you come in.
We’re asking our brilliant community to help us raise £5,000 to cover the costs of this transition — so we can focus on what we do best: connecting people, celebrating good food, and growing something truly special in Redruth.
Where your support will go:
- Finalising our CIC registration and legal setup
- Setting up new systems to manage community events and partnerships
- Investing in marketing to get the word out
- Making sure our community café and shop can keep running smoothly through the change
Every penny will help make sure The Grow Box can thrive long into the future — for you, your family, and for everyone who loves a good natter whilst buying groceries in the shop or over a cuppa in the cafe (with cake obviously)
